爱伦.坡在小说《以比曼尼》中将安提阿城民与"我们"宾主位列,对比基督教与崇拜金牛犊的异教,利用"四兽合一"意象将以比反尼妖魔化,从而表现出坡以"我"为中心,排斥"他者"的权力政治倾向。通过以比曼尼哗变前后的行径勾画出狂想色彩浓郁的狂欢图景,实质上表达了坡对社会政治形势的变相思考,巧妙实现了对现实政治颇具狂想性质的解构,此小说全面地揭示了坡的政治保守倾向。

Poe＇s short story Epimanes places the inhabitants in Antioch and ＂I＂ on the position of master and service,makes a comparison between the Chritianality and the pagan which worships the gold calf,and demonizes the King of Antiochus Epiphanes,so as to express his political inclination of expelling the ＂Other＂ and centralizing the ＂I＂.The work depicts a hilarious picture with burlesque imagination by means of the act of Epimanes before and after the mutiny,playing a political rhapsody.It thus sketches Poe＇s political inclination and his deconstruction of the political reality with a tint of rhapsody.
