On Stylistic Interpretation of the Text:A Probe into Excerpts of the Chinese Version of Pride and Prejudice

文体是作者风格与内容的统一,也是特定社会现实的反映。本文借助文体研究的视角来剖析简.奥斯丁的经典著作《傲慢与偏见》中的几处翻译,借此说明从文体的角度解读文本,剖析其宏观历史性、微观文本结构属性及作者的主观倾向性,从而指导翻译实践,无疑能令译文更准确,更具有时代性。

Style is the integration of the author＇ s individual ways of writing and his/her content; it is the reflection of the society as well. This paper, from a stylistic perspective, probes into excerpts of the Chinese version of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It argues that the stylistic point of view in interpreting the text, boasting its advantages in revealing the macroscopic historicity and microstructure of the text and analyzing the author＇ s subjective inclinations, proves versions that better fit the contemporary more effective in guiding translation practice as it secures more precise language of Chinese.
