黄清雅是雷州一代名声显赫的歌翁。他机智,聪慧,喜爱雷歌,开口即唱,出口成歌,与雷歌结下不解之缘。他的雷歌十分巧妙地运用雷州话的谐音字或语言上的歧义,双关地对人对事,或讽刺、或捉弄、或挑逗、或讥笑、或戏谑,喜笑怒骂皆成歌。

Huang Qingya,one of the famous singers in Leizhou,has gained considerable fame in his ages.He is smart and intelligent,and loves Leizhou Ditties in all his life.He takes advantages of phonograms and ambiguity in the dialect of Leizhou artfully,in order to satirize,to tease,to tantalize,to ridicule,or to banter somebody or something equivocally.
