摘要
国际书目数据通信格式(UNIMARC)自诞生以来,已被翻译成15种语言,在20多个国家或机构推广应用,成为目前图书馆界书目数据交换格式的两大来源之一。在不断变化的书目环境中,要保持UNIMARC的适应性,使其能适应ISBD和《国际著录规则》的修订,需要维护并更新UNIMARC格式。因此,研究UNIMARC与书目记录的功能需求(FRBR)、规范数据功能要求(FRAD)、资源描述与检索(RDA)的关系并使其在MARC格式中得以体现,是修订UNIMARC(第4版)的主要任务。
UNIMARC has been translated into 15 languages,and used in more than 20 countries and organizations since it was published.It has become one of the two main resources of bibliographic data exchange format used in libraries now.In the ever changing bibliographic environment,it is necessary to maintain and update the UNIMARC format in order to adapt to and keep up with the revision of ISBD and the International Description Rules.Therefore,the main task of revising the forth edition of UNIMARC is to probe into the relationship among UNIMARC,FRBR,FRAD and RDA,and to apply research results into the MARC format.
