加巴喷丁是一种新型抗癫痫药,其化学结构与抑制性神经递质γ-氨基丁酸（GABA）相似.该药的抗痛觉异常和抗痛觉过敏特性对于治疗神经病理性疼痛很有效,这些特性可能对于手术后疼痛也有益.由于不良反应较少,以及不与其他药物发生相互作用,该药可能成为临床镇痛治疗的一线约物.
Gabapentin is a new antiepileptic drugs whose chemical structure resembles that of γ -GABA. The characters of anti-allodynia and anti-hyperalgesia of gabapentin plays a very effective role in the treatment of neuropathic pain, and these characters may also be useful in management of post-operative pain. With few side-effects and no interaction to other drugs, gabapentin will be a primary agent in pain management.
