Physical agents cover the white patches with several kinds of pigment particles;chemical agents,including dihydmxyacetone and certain plants extract,temporarily stain the skin by reacting with proteins in the stratum comeum to form brown chmmophores,called melanoidins.Recent cosmetic advances have enabled camouflage to be waterproof and wear-resisting.
