史料建设对图书馆学人研究具有重要作用,中国图书馆学史研究需要开展以扎实史料为基础的实证式研究。图书馆学人史料包括基本史料、一手档案史料、口述史料和工具书性史料。作者建议对非图书馆报刊的图书馆学人著述进行整理汇编,新编纸质索引,逐步实现全文数字化,分工协作开展档案史料和口述史料建设,在学术评价制度上鼓励图书馆史料建设。

The construction of historical materials plays an important role on the study of library scholars. The historical materials of library scholars include basic materials, primary archives, oral materials and reference books. The author suggests that compiling library scholars＇ works which can＇t be found on the newspapers and periodicals, editing new paper-based indexes, digitizing full-text gradually, constructing historical materials and oral history cooperatively, and encouraging the construction of historical materials with academic evaluation system altogether should be carried out. The study of Chinese library science history needs empirical research which is based on the solid historical materials.
