This thesis digs out some historical materials about the Metropolis Library which established by the Civil Administration Department of Qing Dynasty in 1907. Based on these historical materials, this thesis describes the history of the Metropolis Library and then corrects some misunderstanding to the history and historical materials about the library accordingly.
