The application of OELD, technical characteristics, key technologies in improving its shelf-life and characteristics, technology and the market situation in recent years were proposed. The situation and the patent license about OELD and the countermeasures that should be adopted in China were put forward. At last the industrial development future of OELD in the wolrd was outlined.
