Abstract The reasons for gross output value at fixed price leading to over estimation of economic growth rate are as follows:current price replacing fixed price cannot play the role of price reduction;without their fixed price,many new products after base period have to calculated by current price;weights of earlier year price produce “Gerschenkron”;long term dynamic growth rate of “comparable price” calculated by exchange coefficients is higher than that by fixed price;and enlarged factors of repeated calculation of gross output value result in over estimation of growth rate.
