Progress and Experiences of Democratic Legal System Building in China

中华人民共和国成立60年来,社会主义民主法制建设历经了艰难曲折、风风雨雨。建国以来我国民主法制建设取得了许多宝贵经验,这些经验主要包括:建设社会主义民主法制,必须依靠党的领导;民主法制建设要围绕中心,突出重点,为改革开放和现代化建设的全局服务;加强社会主义民主法制建设,必须要发展和完善人民代表大会制度等。

This paper discusses the progress of the construction of socialist democracy and legal system ever since the founding of the PRC. Ever since the establishment of the state, we have gained many valuable experiences in building democratic legal system. Such experiences include：we must rely on the leadership of the Communist Party to build socialist democratic legal system;the democratic legal system must be built by paying special attention to key issues and to serve the reform, open 2ing-up and modernization; and the system of people’s congress must be developed and improved to speed up the building of socialist democratic legal system.
