The security system of the information resources is significant for the development of the backward areas in the west. This paper analyses the current construction situation of information resources security system of the western backward areas and the reasons that caused the situation, explores countermeasures to improve the construction of the system, and sets up a perfect information resources security system to promote information construction and overall sustainable development of the backward areas.
