论小说翻译中的语言风格再现──以小说《洗澡》的英译本为例

On the Reproduction of Language Styles in Fiction Translation──With the English Version of Baptism as an Example

以杨绛女士的小说《洗澡》及其由梅珠迪、史耀华执笔的英译本为例,探讨小说翻译中有效再现原作语言风格的问题,论述了在《洗澡》这部小说中,作者个人风格的三种表现方式及影响作品人物风格的三要素,评析了译者采取的再现原文风格的具体翻译策略。

It discusses how to reproduce the language styles of the source fiction,taking the English version of the fiction Baptism as an example. Firstly,it classifies the language styles of fiction. Then it talks about the importance and feasibility of the reproduction of fiction＇s language styles. At last,it explores the effective ways to recapture the styles through the analysis of the translation of Baptism. It points out that the language styles of fiction mainly consists of the writer＇s individual style and the figures’ styles and that the former is presented in three ways while the latter are influenced by three elements. Finally it comments on the specific translation strategies adopted by translators.
