Pure Beauty and Celestial Sounds:On the Poetry Collection of Zhi Ji Ji (支机集) by Jiang Pingjie and His Students

蒋平阶的词直接唐人,专意小令,为云间词派之旁支,他与弟子合著词集《支机集》。《支机集》纯为小令,局度不大,力量未充,但那种纯粹之美,天籁之音,堪称云间三子《幽兰草》之外的别一境界。

The Ci-poetry of Jiang Pingjie,which specializes in the style of Xiao Ling（short Ci poem）,distinguishes itself as a collateral branch of the Yun Jian School of Ci-poetry.Zhi Ji Ji（支机集） was composed by him and his students.Belonging to the category of Xiao Ling,though simple in structure and imperfect in poetic expression,the associations of pure beauty and celestial sounds that Zhi Ji Ji（支机集） evoked had opened up a new vista for the Ci poetry aside from that of You Lan Cao（幽兰草） composed by three key representatives of the Yun Jian School of Ci-poetry.
