In the Wu dialect, the completely overlapping verbs with a single adjective as a complement may form ＂Vv ＋ A＂ constructions, which belong to the branch category of the modern Chinese verb complement structure ＂verb ＋ adj.＂ as the form of ＂V＋Ap＂. This article focuses on the rhythm characteristics in the ＂Vv ＋ A＂-style and the pragmatic differences between it and it＇s adjacent form ＂V ＋ Ap＂ （with ＂V ＋ AABB＂ type）.
