The relationship between the molecular structure of 35 alkylpyridine compounds and their GC retention indices are studied by using the parameters such as apparent molecular connectivity and dipole moment. For most of the compounds the calculated retention indices are in good agreement with,those observed on both SE-30 and PEG-1500 columns.
