对明惠来说,都市既是"天堂",也是"地狱",因为它不可抗拒的诱惑力与异化甚至毁灭人性的残酷性是同时存在的。由于欲望不切实际的膨胀,明惠将自我实现依托于男性身上,因此一再落入欲望的陷阱而走上了成长的歧途。幻想破灭之后,精神世界的崩然倒塌导致了明惠生命的殒殁。明惠的悲剧不仅是个人的悲剧,而且也具有一定的启示意义——其折射着市场经济背景下底层人们尴尬的生存境遇。

The metropolis is not only a paradise but also a hell for Ming Hui,because its irresistible lure and its brutality of dissimilation even destruction humanity are coexisting.As the unrealistic expansion of desire,Ming Hui＇s self-fulfillment relied on man excessively;therefore,she fell into the trap of desire gradually and was misled.The collapse of the spiritual world resulted in Ming Hui＇s death after her illusion was roused.Ming Hui＇s tragedy is not only to present a person＇s tragedy,but also to have enlightenment,which reflects the survival plight of the social bottom in the background of the market economy.
