摘要
目前随着数据仓库中数据量的不断增大,数据立方体维度和维度层次结构日益复杂,数据立方体物化视图尺寸不断膨胀,产生了数据爆炸,数据立方体压缩技术应运而生,并成为数据立方体技术的重要分支。从OLAP、数据立方体等概念出发,提出并分析了数据立方体压缩技术的各代表算法,并探讨了其今后发展的方向。
The size of the materialized views of a data-cube enlarges with the increase of the data amount,the dimensionality and the complicacy of the dimension hierarchy of the data-cube in data warehouse and,therefore,results in data explosion.To solve this problem,compressing technologies for data-cube emerge and become a significant branch of data-cube technologies.This article introduces the content of OLAP and data cube,proposes and analyzes the data cube compression algorithm for the various representatives,and explores its future development directions.
