As an important part of national culture, funeral custom is the last ritual of our life. Funeral customs in Tibetan and Dai nationality have a greater comparative value in that they not only share the same last rites and similar burial forms but also differ in such aspects as memorial ceremony, specific operation procedures and their attitudes towards death. The reasons for the similarities and differences between Tibetan and Dai funeral customs lies in their different attitudes towards life and death, different levels of influences from their original religions, the introduction of Buddhism and the different geographical and environmental impacts.
