The Chronicle of ZHANG Ji-zhong's Life——Before His Establishment of the North Branch of Taigu School

张积中拜从周太谷,在学习的过程中,除师传外,多为自悟。并曾巡游各地,觉悟师道。在其北上山东创办太谷学派北宗前,曾经四度前往齐鲁,在济南、泰安、博山等地交朋访友,联络人脉,为其立学派北宗打下了坚实基础。对他求师、悟学、立派的考察,可以帮助我们深入了解张积中及太谷学派北宗的思想活动及黄崖山事件。

Zhang Ji--zhong is a mostly self--taught person apart from learning from his teacher, ZHOU Tai --gu. Zhang Ji- zhong traveled around and came to understand his teacher＇ doctrines. Before the establishment of the North branch of Taigu School, he went to Qilu （now Shandong Province） four times. And he made a lot of friends in Ji＇nan, Tai＇an, Boshan and so on, which laid a solid foundation. By observing his learning, his thinking, and the creation of Taigu School, we can have in- depth understanding of Zhang Ji--zhong and Taigu School＇ ideology and the Mount Huangya Event.
