On Etiquette in Chinese Traditional Juristical Culture

中国古代社会是个礼法社会。礼法是中国古代法的基本形态。其基本特征就是将礼作为国家立法、执法和司法的基本原则和指导方针,以礼率法、以礼摄法、"礼"与"法"既糅合又并存,相互补充、相互渗透、相互融合,用于规范社会、管理民众、治理国家。简单的介绍中国传统法律文化中的礼的历史、含义、特征以及与法律的相互关系。

China’s ancient society was the one with rules of etiquette. The rules of etiquette was the basic forms in China ancient law,whose essential feature is to take the etiquette as the foundermental principle and guideline in the legislation,enforcement of the law and judicature in China. Etiquette is used to lead and deter the law. Etiquette and Law mixed and coexist with each other as well. They are mutually supplemented,interpenetrated, mutually integrated to stipulate the society and to govern the people and the country. This thesis briefly introduces the history,implication and features about etiquette in Chinese traditional juristical culture,and its relations with the law.
