A multitude of hot topics on internet have emerged during the INET ' 98 in Geneva. The Electronic Commerce will be the general trend of development. According to Forrest, by the year 2002, the Internet commodity transactions will reach US $ 327 billion. Two points of view exist as to the Internet Governance. It is proposed that network interconnection should be supported in an open and cooperative way and necessary coordinated management should be conducted. On the conference, the integrated service billing system for Internet has been proposed in terms of metering, accounting, charging, and billing. The new concept of 3Gs (content, communications, and commerce) has formed, and service customization well become the final goal of operators in the future.
