Deleuze's Theory of Simulacrum

The focus of Deleuze＇s discussion of simulacrum lies in what simulacrum itself may be,rather than the imitation or representation of the object.Breaking the old barriers of the characterization of the crisis and Plato＇s arborescent structure-thinking by means of his differences and the rhizome structure-thinking,he finds a breakthrough from within Plato＇s theory of simulacrum,and removes the dualistic framework of the prototype and copy,phenomenon and essence,and truth and falsity.Deleuze emphasizes the simulacrum based on differences and stresses that the value of simulacrum does not depend on similarity or imitation.As such,Deleuze abandons the stereotypes of Plato＇s suppression of the theory of simulacrum,thus endowing the concept of simulacrum with a positively creative and generative force.
