Objective:To investigate the change of procalcitonin(PCT) and its clinical significance in the patients with multiple injury.Methods:74 patients with multiple injury were divided into two groups:infectious group and non-infectious group and the level of PCT of all samples were detected and analysed.Result:The positive frequency of PCT in the infectious group was significantly higher than non-infectious group(P0.01).In the infectious group,The occurrence of PCT of those with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS) was significantly higher than without MODS group(P0.05).Conclusion:PCT may be a useful marker to monitor the inflammatory and with MODS status of injured patients at risk.
