三峡水利枢纽是开发治理长江的骨干工程,三峡工程建成后将具有保护生态环境,促进长江流域经济、社会、资源与环境相互协调和可持续发展等重要作用。本身也是对中国人民和全世界人民最大的贡献,有利于全球生态环境保护。三峡工程是一项生态环境工程。防洪是三峡工程最大的生态环境效益。
The Three Gorges Project(TGP) on the Yangtze River(YR) is the largest water power station in the world.After completion,it would be protect the eco-environment of the Yangtze Basin.TGP would be a vital important and backbone project in harnessing and developing of the YR,promote the economy,society,resources and environment mutual coordination and sustainable development,accelerate the Chinese economy development.It would be the specific reflection of the mankind to develop and utilize natural environment and resources.TGP is the greatest contribution to Chinese and the world people,beneficial to the protection of global eco-environment.TGP is an eco-environment project.Flood control is the top eco-environmental benefits of TGP.
