Culture and Morality in Fictional Narrative

叙事学虽然侧重形式分析,但叙事无法摆脱其文化和道德寓意。文章先从中西小说史的角度粗略探讨了小说叙事中的文化因素,然后集中分析了以儒家道德为代表的儒家文化在中国小说中的表现。

Although narratology emphasizes formal analysis,narrative can't cast off its implied sense of culture and morality.The essay roughly inquires into the cultural factors of novel's narrative from the angle of history of Chinese and Western novels and then concentrates on analyzing in Chinese novels the representation of Confucian culture,which includes Confucian morality as its core.
