中国特色的翻译学:误区还是必然?——兼评《中西翻译思想比较研究》

Translation Theories with Chinese Characteristics:A Mistake or a Must?

"有中国特色的翻译学"的提法有着广义认识论作为哲学基础,因此,提倡有中国特色的翻译学,并不是让我们走进误区,而是中国翻译研究者必然的努力方向。只有形成有自己特色的学派,我们才可能与西方同行平等对话。刘宓庆的《中西翻译思想比较研究》可为探寻中国翻译学建设的动力之源提供方法论上的指导。

From the viewpoint of general epistemology,which should be the philosophical base of Translation Studies,different researchers,or subjects,so to speak,inevitably bear on that discipline.Therefore,advocating ＂translation theories with Chinese characteristics＂ does not lead us astray,but points out a direction that we Chinese translation researchers have to follow.Only by forming an outstanding school can we communicate with our western counterparts on an equal footing.When it comes to this point,Prof.Liu Miqing has presented some methodology in his Translation Thoughts in China and the West：A Comparative Study.
