Color Geography Theory and Its Development in China

采用文献调查法对国内色彩地理学的研究进展和现状进行系统梳理,在介绍色彩地理学理论的产生背景、内容和研究方法的基础上,综述了国内学术界在城市规划中的色彩设计、建筑设计中的色彩应用、旅游开发中的旅游形象设计和景观规划等领域对色彩地理学的研究和应用成果,认为色彩地理学理论仍有较大的应用潜力,其理念和方法亟待在中国普及和推广。

Color Geography is a subject that studies the relationship between color and geographical environment. The theoretical system of Color Geography has just been formed in recent decades. Although researches on Color Geography began much later in China,more and more experts and scholars have paid attention to it and a number of research results have been published. At present,domestic researches of color geography theory are mainly focused on Architectural Design,Tourism Image Design,and Landscape Planning and so on. These studies are mostly based on the researcher＇s own professional background,lacking of systematic theoretical conclusions and methodological explorations. Domestic research and application of Color Geography are just in an early stage, however,the theory still has great potentials because of the needs of this discipline itself and social development. Concepts and methods of color geography are eager to be popularized as well as to be further studied. Based on introducing the theory and methods of color geography,this paper presents an overview of the progress and status of domestic Color Geography research,points out some shortcomings in present research results,so as to make Color Geography attract more and more academic attention.
