New development in WLAN shows higher speed,better interoperability and security.WLAN has the advantages of high flexibility and reliability,it can improve productivity immediately and has been used in many fields.It has made a remarkable achievement and shows extensive market prospect,it is believed that the WLAN will lead a new way of live and work.However,for many reasons,there are some insecurities in wireless information network.This paper mainly discusses the advantages and risks in WLAN,and also the protection and security strategies to WLAN.
