It has been extensively applied in aviation, space flight, construct, sports, automobile, medical treatment, etc. fields. A brief review of the evolution and current situation of the PAN-based Carbon fiber at home and abroad were included. Furthermore, the preparation, structure, performance and the application area of the PAN-based Carbon fiber were also introduced. Interrelated standards and test methods were specifically expressed. The development in the future was prospected.
