The Logic of Christopher Alexander's Theory of the Space Planning:The Case of the"The Timeless Way of Building"

该文通过分析逻辑结构,重点解读世界著名空间规划大师C·亚历山大代表作《建筑的永恒之道》,认为C·亚历山大教授对空间规划理论进行了重要探索,然而其在构建规划方法的过程中逻辑不够严谨,导致理想图景难以完全付诸于空间规划实践。文章期望从逻辑方面入手,进而对完善或者创新现有的空间规划方法有所帮助。

Through unscrambling the logic structure of the‘The Timeless Way of Building＇, this article holds such a view that Christopher Alexander has contributed much to the theory of the space planning.However,his logic thinking is not rigorous enough in the conducted method of the space planning.Therefore it is not able to be put into practice completely at present. More importantly,it is hoped that the logic issues discussed in this article are helpful for the advancement or innovation of the existing space planning.
