As a kind of architectural space, the Chinese Buddhist architecture of the middle ages had developed on the basis of Buddhist culture system. By analyzing the characteristics, formation and development of the space, this article does not only expound the method of creating religious mood in the Buddhist architectural space, but also points out that the Buddhist architectural space in the middle ages in China,which is deeply influenced by Buddhist culture and ancient construction building laws,and it is the centralized reflection of Buddhism consciousness, custom habits, aesthetic concepts and architectural technology.
