Structure performance and manufacturing technology of double compound metal pipe are introduced and its technology andeconomic advantages are summarized. The paper analyzes application situation and problem existed in the pipe and concreteapplication cases of this pipe at home and abroad are provided. It is considered that if this pipe will be used of wider scope, fourtechnical issues in optimal corrosion resistance internal alloy liner, selection and assessment of base metal pipe, connection ofdouble compound metal pipe and evaluation of jointing strength between internal and external pipes have to be solved at the sametime.
