On the Democratic Electoral System in Anti-Japanese Base Areas

中共抗日根据地的选举制度,是在抗日战争时期特定的历史条件下确立的,以普遍、平等、直接和无记名投票为基本原则的,具有鲜明中国特色的民主选举制度。它的实施极大地提高了人民的民主觉悟,增强了中华民族凝聚力,对取得抗日战争的胜利和推进中国政治民主化进程都有着积极作用。并为当前我国民主选举制度的进一步完善提供借鉴和启示。

The electoral system of Chinese Communist anti-Japanese base areas is established under specific historical eonditions in the Anti-Japanese War with universal, equal, direct and secret ballot as the basic principle and with distinct Chinese characteristics and the democratic electoral system. Its implementation has greatly enhanced the democratic consciousness of the people, strengthen the cohesion of the Chinese nation, and plays a role in achieving the victory of Sino-Japanese War and advancing China＇s political democratization process, which provides reference and enlightenment to perfect our democratic electoral system.
