摘要
车牌自动识别是现代智能交通的重要组成部分,而车牌定位技术又是车牌识别系统的核心技术之一。本文提出一种精确高效的车牌字符定位算法,该算法采用差分来描述灰度变化进行初步定位,并对不同类型的车牌使用不同的二值化处理方法。实验表明,该算法快速有效。
License Plate Recognition( LPR) plays an important role in intelligent transportation system,and the license plate locating is the critical technique in the LPR. An accurate and efficient algorithm to locate vehicle license plate is proposed. The plate is firstly located by gray change which described by calculus of differences,the different types plates is processed by binary algorithm. The experiment results show efficiency and good performance of the algorithm in vehicle license plate location.
