我国某养犬基地发现犬埃立克体病

Canine Ehrlichiosis Found in China

从１９９８年４月起广州市郊某养犬基地发生犬流行病，其主要症状为发热、流鼻血、贫血和白细胞数减少。经动物感染和ＰＣＲ检测，证实病原为埃立克体属微生物。四环素对该病治疗有效。

The outbreak of an unknown epidemic disease has occurred in canine in the suburbs of Guangzhou since April, 1998. The clinical signs of the disease are characterized by fever, epistaxis, anemia and leukopenia. The causative agent of the disease has been identified as a species of the genus Ehrlichia by animal infection experiment and PCR test. Tetracycline has been proved to be efficacious for the treatment of the disease.
