摘要
谭恩美的作品对死亡意象的关注度相当高,并且往往和鬼魂等东方文化色彩紧密相连。文章以谭恩美的五部长篇小说为研究对象,分析其中出现的各种死亡意象,认为这既是渲染东方文化神秘异域色彩的艺术手段,也是书写女性命运悲剧、建构女性主体意识的有效策略。
Amy Tan＇s novels attach much importance to death imagery,which turns out to be closely related with ghost imagery and other oriental cultural element.Based on detailed textual analysis of five novels of hers,this paper intends to analyze the various death imagery and points out that her death writing reveals the exotic nature of oriental culture as well as serves as a means to depict the tragic fate of women and reconstruct their feminine self-consciousness.
