摘要 从接入网看,光纤无线融合是一种很有前途的架构,文章提出了一种基于光纤无线电(ROF)技术的以太网无源光网络(EPON)和全球微波接入互操作性(WiMAX)融合方案,能够同时在光纤中传输EPON基带信号和WiMAX无线射频信号。在此基础上,文章详细说明了该方案的一些特点,包括数据的上下行传输、冗余保护、漫游等问题。 The convergence of optical and wireless networking is a promising development for future access network architecture.In this article,we propose a converged network integrating Ethernet Passive Optical Network(EPON) and worldwide interoperability for microwave access(WiMAX) technologies based on Radio Over Fiber(ROF)—which can simultaneously transmit EPON baseband signals and WiMAX wireless radio frequency signals.We then elaborate on the characteristics of the converged network and discuss some important issues:upstream and downstream transmission,redundancy protection,and handover.
