摘要
本文指出了应用单片机驱动液晶显示器的某些局限性,提出使用CPLD做为LCD控制芯片的方法。这种方法简单实用,可以提高LCD控制器控制速度,形成的控制电路便于提高电子系统集成度,特别适合用于设计以CPLD/FPGA为主要控制芯片的电路。本文介绍了液晶屏幕的控制方法,根据对液晶屏幕控制方法的分析设计了LCD控制状态机。应用VHDL语言举例说明了控制器的具体实现。描述文件在QuartusⅡ4.2环境下调试通过。控制电路在实际电路中调试通过。
The limitation of LCD driving method by single--chip microprocessor is pointed out. This paper introduces the LCD driving method by CPI.D. This simple and practical method can improve the LCD controller speed. The system Integration Degree can be improved. The IP core is suitable for device based on CPLD and FPGA. Control method for LCD is described. Based on the analysis of LCD control method, the LCD control state machine is designed. Some VHDL examples are given to illustrate the control method. All programs are debugged successfully on QuartuslI4.2. The circuit debugging has been finished.
