The combination of the academic traditions, resources and missions of the Palace Museum is the fundamental basis on which Gugongology (Gugongxue) is established. The construction of academic thought and disciplines, establishment and improvement of scientific research system make the study of the imperial palace contemporary. Furthermore, the Palace academic journals keep playing an active role in publicizing and advocating. Honestly, Gugongology (Gugongxue) has no alternative but to develop sustainably and scientifically, which will inevitably lead to richer fruits and talents.
