故宫博物院此次评奖是对自1991年以来科研、学术成果的检阅和总结,获奖作品在某种意义上代表了我院近年的学术、展览和出版水平。获最高奖项的作品将对故宫学及故宫科研水平的发展起到标杆的作用。不断完善一系列的科研管理制度,引进人才培养学位制度,开展多样的学术交流,诸多工作为故宫博物院的学术研究和管理积累了多方面的经验。如何营造良好的人才成长环境,建立激励人才机制,促进科研工作的发展,评奖工作是很重要的措施之一。

It is a comprehensive review and summary of the scientific research achievements for 1991-2008 for the Palace Museum to hold the awarding campaign through extensive consultation and evaluation. The prize-winning works, in a sense, represent the studying, exhibiting and publishing levels of the palace museum in recent years. The highestawarded productions will prominently act as advanced models in the progressive study of Gugongology (Gugongxue) and promote the academic level of the palace museum. Also, constant improvement of scientific research management, introduction of talents training system and a variety of academic exchanges are of great significance for the palace museum to gather experience in research and management. Therefore, awarding assessment of the scientific achievements is among the important measures to build favorable talents growing environment, set up talent incentive programs and promote scientific researches as well.
