《小盗儿市场杀人》是一部带有"现实主义"色彩的日本侦探小说。它以殖民地都市大连为舞台,描写了在中国人生活区的小盗儿市场发生的日本人之间的凶杀事件。与同时代生活在殖民地都市大连的其他日本作家根本不想了解被压榨与被剥削的中国人生活,而只顾一味地描述大连的异国情调和摩登风景不同,作者大庭武年把视线投到摩登幻影的背后,将在黑暗中痛苦挣扎的底层中国人的悲惨生活真实地书写出来,使我们更加清晰地看到了殖民地摩登都市的本质。并且,这部小说也可看作大庭创作从非改实主义向现实主义转变的尝试。
Against the background of colonial city, Murder on Xiaodaoer Market as a Japanese detective fiction featuring its realism tells a series of murders among Japanese that happened on Chinese Xiaodaoer market. Different from other Japanese writers, who neglected the squeezed and exploited life that Chinese people suffered and only focused on the exotic and modem Dalian, Taketoshi recorded a miserable life that Chinese people struggle hopelessly and told his audience the nature of colonial city authentically. And the novel can be regarded as his creation attempt from unrealism to realism.
