The partial oxidation of methane to syngas by self exothermic reaction has been studied over Ni/ZrO 2 catalyst. It is found that the Ni content in catalyst had little effect on the activity and selectivity of the catalyst and increase of space velocity and reaction temperature improved the methane conversion and the selectivity of CO and H 2.
