Polysiloxane with fullerene moiety and its platinum complex have been prepared from C 60 (H 2NCH 2CH 2NH 2) 5 via reacting with γ glycidoxy propyl trimethoxy silane, followed by immobilization on fumed silica, then reacting with potassium chloroplatinite in acetone under argon atmosphere. The Pt complex is effective catalyst for hydrosilylation of olefin with triethoxysilane. It is found that the regioselectivity increases remarkably by introducing C 60 moiety. The influences of temperature, the amount of Pt complex used and the nature of olefin are investigated.
