摘要
本研究基于中国英语学习者语料库和本族语者语料库,采用对语料库语法赋码,全面提取形容词及其强化语的搭配索引行并进行手工分析的方法,对中国英语学习者形容词强化的主要方式——强化语的使用进行了调查和研究。研究发现和本族语者相比,中国英语学习者强化语使用的形符数高于本族语者,类符数低于本族语者;类符数随着学习者英语语言水平的提高逐渐接近于本族语者,呈有规律上升趋势。本研究总结了中国英语学习者强化语使用的特点规律及其成因,最后对中国英语教学提出了建议。
This research aims to explore the use of adjectival intensification in Chinese English learner corpora and the native speaker corpora. Data used in this research are retrieved through the pos-tagged corpora and are examined manually. Overall distribution of intensifiers is described in the Chinese Learners English Corpus( CLEC ) and Louvain Corpus of Native English Essays(LOCNESS). It finds that Chinese English learners tend to overuse intensifiers in terms of token numbers, while the type numbers of intensifiers used by the Chinese English learners are much lower compared to those of the native speakers. The type number used by the Chinese English learners increases in accordance with their proficiency level. Reasons for the differences of the use of intensifiers in the learner corpora and native corpora are analyzed. Pedagogical implications are given at the end of the passage.
