A Study on the Model of the Characteristics of the Competency of the Leaders of China's Universities and Colleges

摘要 本研究选取了中国"985高校"和"211高校"的最高党政领导(校长和党委书记)28名(优秀组18人,一般组10人)作为访谈对象,对他们进行了关键行为事件访谈(BEI访谈技术)。然后,通过严格的编码程序对访谈内容进行了编码,并对编码结果进行统计分析后发现,中国高校领导者的胜任特征模型包括四大胜任特征族群,分别是:领导力、思考力、影响力和事业心。另外,为了弥补国外胜任特征辞典的不足,该研究对中国高校高层领导者的胜任特征进行了补充编码,经过统计分析后发现,中国高校领导者还具有如下4项胜任特征:创新性、人格魅力、魄力和前瞻性。 Taking as interviewees 28 presidents and Party secretaries(including 18 persons belonging to the outstanding group and 10 persons belonging to the common group) from one university named 'University 985' and 100 key universities named 'Universities in Project 211',we have,by the BEI interview technology,surveyed the key events and the behavior of the people mentioned above.Then,we have coded the contents of our interview through a strict coding program,and made a statistical analysis of the results of coding.We have discovered that the models of the Characteristics of the Competency of the Leaders of China's Universities and Colleges are divided into four groups: the leadership ability,the thinking power,the influence,and the devotion to work.Moreover,to make up for the insufficiency of the dictionary of the characteristics of the competency for working abroad,we have supplemented the code for the research on the characteristics of the competency of China's top leaders in universities.By a statistical analysis,we have found that the leaders of China's universities have the following 4 characteristics in competency: innovating,personality charm,boldness,and foresightedness.
