略论魏晋南北朝佛教寺院的公益活动

Discussion on the commonweal activities of Buddhist temples in the Wei,Jin and the Northern and Southern Dynasties

魏晋南北朝时期的慈善公益事业,因受佛教慈悲观念和"福田"思想的影响,佛教寺院和僧人在社会上进行了广泛的慈善公益活动,他们参加到世俗的社会生活当中,赈灾济贫、行医施药、凿井修桥、保护生态环境,为当时的社会公益事业做出了独特的贡献,对保持社会稳定、促进经济和文化的发展产生了积极的影响。

Influenced by mercy view and social welfare thinking, the Buddhist temples and monks in the Wei, Jin and the Northern and Southern Dynasties organized various charitable commonweal activities.They participated in common social life, relieving the poor and the people in disaster-stricken areas, treating diseases and giving medicine free of charge, digging wells, building bridges and protecting the environment, which were unique contributions to the social commonweal cause and had positive influences on the social stability and the development of economy and culture.
