Wang Shiyue is an important writer in manual labourer literature of a new generation. His fiction and prose on manual labourers reflect his unique life experience and actual encounters as a writer changing from a rural manual labourer into an urban writer. Meanwhile, they express a sense of wandering and his awareness of resistance to wandering in a strange land. Through his literary creation, he is adapting his status and that of his companions as country folks and jobber boys, and seeking a superior status for them, which is of great significance for improving writers＇ artistic creation and reestablishing writers＇ actual status.
