This article describes several cases of new building which has symbiotic relationship with historical environment in the reconstruction of Pariser Platz in Berlin, German Further more, it analyzes how they harmonize with the historical environment, summarizes the design methods that new buildings should generate spatial structure in the environment and maintain a visual continuity with the historical environment.
