如何进一步推进广东高等教育科学发展,无疑是关乎广东推进社会经济文化全面发展的重大课题。近几年来广东的高等教育得到了长足的发展,但就发展规模和教育质量来看,还存在着与经济发展水平、经济强省的地位不相适应的情况。因此,既坚持教育规模的适度增长,又不忽视教育质量的提高,实现二者的协调发展,就成了发展广东高等教育的必然选择。

How to improve the scientific development of higher education in Guangdong is undoubtedly an important task which concerns the advancement of general development of society, economy and culture in Guangdong. In recent years, higher education has been fully developing in Guangdong, yet from the view of the developing scale and the education quality, there exist cases which go against the level of its economic level and its position as being a highly developed province in economy. Thus, it becomes an inevitable choice for Guangdong＇ s high education to continue its rise in scale without the neglect of education quality to achieve the corresponding development of both.
